career and development
My work has primarily been inspired by humanistic ideas and approaches, by philosophy and modern neuroscience, as well as Western and Eastern spiritual traditions. Already as a teenager, I had a great affinity to psychological topics. My decision with seventeen to become a therapist first followed a scientific education, where within brain research I made my first contact with systemic ideas, which soon became my spiritual home. My own personal search for answers to existential questions in the last thirty years led me to various theories and practices, which I never saw as contradictory but rather as different approaches to the same core. My most influential personal teachers in my therapeutic work are Stefan Hammel, Holm von Egidy, Matthias Varga von Kibéd, Insa Sparrer, Gunther Schmidt, Barbara Birner, Alberto Villoldo and my clients.
